Tips for Making a Good Resume

A resume is not a paper, but it is a communication medium between employers and job seekers. The employer wants to judge job aspirants primarily by this document. Therefore, their resume reflects their educational background and Skill and reflects their attitude, seriousness, English knowledge, and plan.

Employers are primarily judging the suitability of the candidate by this resume. In the time of making a resume candidate should give concentrate on the post and the eligibility requirements of the position. Sometimes in some private jobs where the job seeker has no experience about the job criteria, he may take help from his friends and teachers or the internet. So resume has to be made as per job requirement.

They should nake their resume so that employers do not lose concentration from the tagline to the finishing line. Sometimes long and over sketched resumes create annoyances to the employee. So they should make it with simple sentences and easy words. Don’t copy resumes from friends because whenever the employer sees the same type of resume, they get a negative developed in their mind.

They must highlight points sequenced as per the job profile. The resume can be made in MS word for a regular office job, whereas they can use Photoshop to make a resume for the creative professional. They can use two or three colours with sufficient contrast in a Photoshop resume.

An experienced candidate’s resume and a fresher’s candidate resume should not be the same. For an experienced candidate, the company wants to know his work experience and Skill first before his educational background. For a fresher’s candidate, the employer wants to know his educational background, skills, language knowledge, and adaptability criteria for that job.

As a TPO, I have noticed that some suitable candidates may get rejected due to casual approaches like incorrect information, spelling mistakes, no signature, no photo, or b/w photo. Sometimes student gives their simple image, but I recommend a scanned copy of a passport-sized photo with a white background and a formal dress.

Here a brief description is given for making a resume for fresher’s and experienced candidates in the following section. As a TPO, I have noticed that some good candidates are rejected due to casual approaches like not updated information, spelling mistake, no signature, no photo or b/w photo. Sometimes students give their casual photo but I recommend a scanned copy of a passport size photo with a white background and with a formal dress.
